Get started with CoGuide Standby

Set up CoGuide Hybrid Mode in your classroom in three simple steps and start seeing participation clearly while keeping your teaching flow intact.

Step 1: Set up your classroom

Download and install the CoGuide application on your classroom device. The app works on Windows, macOS, and tablets.

Visit coguide.ai/download to get the latest version.

Install

Follow the installation wizard and create your teacher account.

Verify

Launch the app and ensure your camera and microphone are working properly.
Create a simple seating chart to track participation by location, not faces.

Create seat map

Use our simple seat mapping tool to label seats (A1, A2, B1, etc.) or upload an existing classroom layout.

Test positioning

Position your device to capture the classroom view and verify all seats are visible.

Calibrate

Run a quick calibration to ensure accurate participation tracking.

Step 2: Configure Standby mode

Configure your privacy settings to ensure student data stays secure and school-owned.

Select your school’s cloud storage or local processing for maximum privacy.

What you’ll see during class

CoGuide Standby provides a small, unobtrusive overlay showing:
  • Hand raises: Live count of students with hands up
  • Talk time: Separate meters for teacher and student speaking time

  • Wait time: Duration after questions before responses
